How does image compression work without losing quality?
We re-encode your image with an optimized encoder and remove data the human eye can't perceive, such as redundant color information and metadata. At the default quality setting the result is visually identical while being 60–90% smaller.
Are my images stored on your server?
No. Files are processed on the server only for the few seconds it takes to compress them. The result is deleted the moment you download it and everything else is automatically purged within 30 minutes — or immediately when you close the page.
Which formats are supported?
JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, HEIC, BMP and TIFF as input. You can export to JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF.
What happens if my resize dimensions don't match the image's aspect ratio?
We never stretch or distort your photo. A crop frame locked to your target ratio appears over the image — drag it to choose which part to keep, or pick a preset like 1:1, 4:3 or 16:9 and crop any image freely.
Is there a file size or usage limit?
You can process up to 20 images per batch, each up to 25 MB. There is no daily limit and the tool is completely free.
Can I compress an image to a specific size like 100 KB?
Yes. Choose "Target size" in the settings and enter a value in KB — we automatically find the best quality that fits under your limit.
